Most people don’t fail because they lack talent.

They fail because they lack the discipline to finish. The Discipline to Finish is a direct, no-excuses guide for those who are tired of starting strong and fading out. This book confronts the real issue behind inconsistency—lack of structure, lack of clarity, and a mindset that quits under pressure—and replaces it with a system built for execution. Built on proven principles of discipline, personal leadership, and spiritual alignment, this book walks you through how to:
Eliminate distractions and lock in on what actually matters
Build daily habits that produce real momentum
Stay consistent when motivation fades
Execute with intention, not emotion
Finish what you start—every time
This isn’t about hype. This is about standards. If you’ve been starting, stopping, and restarting… this book will teach you how to stabilize your mindset, structure your actions, and develop the discipline required to carry assignments all the way to completion. Because starting is common. Finishing is rare.
About the Author
Carlton J. Young, MBA
Carlton Young is a minister, leadership strategist, speaker, and founder committed to helping people develop the discipline, clarity, and internal structure needed to create meaningful, lasting change. His life has been shaped by multiple moments that could have ended his story—including surviving four near-death experiences. One involved a life-threatening incident at Rogers Pass in Montana, three came through serious car wrecks, and the most defining was surviving a point-blank gunshot wound. Each moment reinforced a deep conviction that his life has been preserved by God for a purpose and an assignment far greater than himself.

Through years of personal growth, military and professional experience, and deep spiritual formation, Carlton has dedicated his life to helping others transform from the inside out. His work centers on building discipline, strengthening mindset, and creating inner clarity so people can produce external momentum in their lives, leadership, and calling.
Carlton believes survival alone is not the victory—transformation is. His story, marked by resilience, faith, and divine preservation, stands as a testament that when God keeps you, it is not just to sustain you, but to use you. Today, he pours that perspective into leaders, men, and communities, helping them break limiting cycles, find clarity in their purpose, and step fully into the life they were created to live.
